At 78°N, Svalbard is one of the world's most extreme and exciting destinations. Polar bears outnumber people, reindeer wander the airport runway, and in summer the sun doesn't set for 4 months. An expedition here — by snowmobile in winter or boat in summer — is genuinely life-changing.
